Kenya Sheppard Matthews, is currently a Program Manager within the Google organization. In this role she oversees the full lifecycle of assuring new products and features can launch with the right safety protections and enforcement's in place. The goals of her team are to reduce creator and user exposure to content on YouTube that violates their community guidelines. Within Google she is a Lead for the Pittsburgh Black Googler Network ERG, and a Lead on the K-12 Pitt Education team that focuses on engaging, exposing, and teaching K-12 students about technology. Before this role she was an Assistant Vice President for Retail Lending Experience, and President of the African American EBRG at PNC Financial Services. Kenya’s passion for giving back to the community led her to join the Board of Directors for Gwen’s Girls, The Pittsburgh Project, and The Professional Women’s Network. Additionally she serves on the Education and Workforce Development committee on Mayor Gainey’s transition team, serves on the Civil Service Commission for the City of Pittsburgh, and volunteers her time in a multitude of regional efforts. Kenya received her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Change Management from Robert Morris University, and her Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Network Security from Point Park University.
